Hi! I’m Amer Aujla, a Registered Psychologist in good standing with the College of Alberta Psychologists. I also have a background in Occupational Therapy and have been working in the mental health field for over 10 years now.

Therapy for Teens & Adults

I provide therapy for adolescents and adults and work with a variety of issues including depression, anxiety, trauma, grief and loss, emotional regulation, work-related issues, and interpersonal issues. My preferred therapeutic theory is person-centered and I value a collaborative working relationship with my clients. I provide a safe and non-judgmental place for my clients to identify their personal strengths and resources to assist in their journey towards healing and growth. I am skilled in helping clients learn new coping skills, deal more effectivity with difficult emotions and change unwanted behaviours. I incorporate different therapeutic modalities in my practice including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Solution Focused Therapy (SFT), Dialectal Behavioural Therapy (DBT), mindfulness and self-compassion.

I am also a Psychology Consultant for the Edmonton Public School Board. I work closely with students, parents and school staff to accommodate students’ individual needs, helping them progress and succeed.

Welcome! My name is Kennedy, a Master’s Level Counselling Intern Therapist at Solace Psychology & Wellness. I’m currently completing my Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology, driven by a deep passion for helping others. Whether it’s supporting friends, family, or strangers, I find joy in being present for others and helping transform their sadness into hope.

Therapy for Children, Teens, Adults & Couples

From a young age, I’ve been drawn to understanding people, listening to their stories, and offering support. I believe that simply being there for someone can be a powerful remedy. My commitment to building a collaborative relationship with clients allows me to meet them where they are in each session. I understand the courage it takes to confront life’s challenges, and I’m here to walk with you on that journey.

I enjoy supporting children and teens in bettering their mental health, fostering hopefulness and positive thinking, and processing their emotions and experiences. A large part of my work with this age group involves teaching and practicing strategies for ADHD, emotion regulation, self-esteem and confidence, social skills/healthy relationships, self-compassion, and effective coping skills.

When working with adults, my focus is on offering therapeutic support and evidence-based strategies for coping with anxiety, stress, depression, ADHD, grief and loss, life transitions, healthy relationships, sports performance, body dysmorphia/self-image, and women’s wellness.

My approach to therapy is shaped by my own experiences with mental health and the belief in the strength within each of us to overcome adversity. I strive to create a supportive, empathetic environment where clients feel comfortable being vulnerable. Together, we’ll work to promote healing and enhance your life through positive thinking and effective coping strategies.

I incorporate various clinical modalities, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), and Play-Based Therapy, tailoring my approach to meet each client’s unique needs.

Welcome! I’m Spenser Dion, and I am a Mental Health Therapist at Solace Psychology & Wellness. I hold a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology degree through Yorkville University and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Applied Psychology from Concordia University of Edmonton. I have over 9 years of experience working with children, teens, and families who face a variety of barriers to healthy living. This experience has propelled me into advancing my education in becoming a therapist. I am deeply committed to creating a safe and supportive space for individuals to explore their inner world, overcome challenges, and achieve greater self-awareness and personal growth.

Therapy for Children, Teens, Adults, Couples, and Families

I enjoy supporting clients through various life challenges. Particularly, I enjoy helping clients cope with anxiety, depression, grief and loss, trauma, self-esteem, and major life transitions. I am also passionate about working with parents as they navigate the parenting journey, teaching parents helpful strategies for fostering child development as well as tools for their own self-regulation and growth.

I don’t believe therapy should be a one-size fits all approach. My approach to therapy is integrative, blending different treatment modalities to create a personalized and effective experience for each client. I primarily work from a Person-Centered lens, blending in interventions from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT), mindfulness, and Compassion Based Therapy. When working with children, I bring in elements of play, sandtray and art therapy.

I strive to foster a collaborative relationship with my clients, valuing their unique perspectives, strengths, and values. Together, we create a safe and non-judgmental space where my clients can explore their challenges and discover their own inner resources for healing and personal growth. I prioritize empathy, warmth, and genuineness to create a positive therapeutic relationship that promotes trust and openness. I believe that clients are the experts in their own lives, and I strive to understand their unique needs, experiences, and goals.

A Bit About Me

When I’m not in therapist mode, you’ll probably find me hanging out with friends, family, or my pup! I’m passionate about holistic wellness and taking in all the beauty life has to offer. Whether that means strength training, yoga, or enjoying whatever outdoor sport the season brings. I’ve recently gotten into golf, I love to ski when winter hits, and I thoroughly enjoy festival season during the summer! I also love to cook and host; there’s nothing better than good food, music, and belly laughs with loved ones. That said, I’m equally content curled up at home with reality TV as my not-so-guilty pleasure!
